So what is Art With Intent, exactly?

It’s utilizing creative expression to be present with our full range of emotions, to break down inner barriers, evoke catharsis + release. Art With Intent, is the root of advocacy arts: understanding that we all relate to creative connection differently.

This system brings forth the innate expressive abilities in all beings, holding space for participants to explore + experiment. Methods of meditation + sensory meridian response lift us to a state of consciousness where we develop a relationship to the Canvas. In this, we call upon our innate instinct to connect with our surroundings purely + cohesively.

The act of setting forth a purpose unto the Canvas + experience builds a foundation for what is created to carry not only meaning, but a potent transference into the piece. In class, we take steps to deepen into our emotional + subtle bodies for any clarity that must come through to do so, in a safe creative environment. This is extremely therapeutic for many!

Art With Intent is a tool for creative education + healing, though can also be utilized for spiritual journeying, inner child work, or self reflection adapted to any individual‘s genuine desire to play. Let’s see what creativity unfurls!

Instruction for your child’s creative growth from a seasoned artist, professional teacher, & creator of Art With Intent workshops! Sacred Canvas creator Enx Eeden holds space in gentle reverence for the budding virtuoso. They began their teaching career facilitating art at summer camps, with ages 6 to 16, locking in a lifelong love for connecting via creation. After over 13 years I’m fine art, they’ve come to share that love with the world. E has grown to cultivate informative & practical, while engaging classes everyone can enjoy. However, one of their favorite experiences remains teaching children, believing that early introduction to art changes one’s life for the better.

Mission Statement

Sacred Canvas is dedicated to youth arts education that exceeds, or supplements most school programs. In light of many such programs becoming a rarity, we aim to provide accessibly equitable & informative lessons for children’s exploration. The intention to set all ranges of youth up for success backs a people-first & mindfulness based approach. Being LGBTIQ+ run, we take pride in holding safe space for queer youth. In learning expression, we see to it that children & teens learn communication or processing skills, as well as confidence.

Codes of Conduct

Online courses can be offered to anyone! Let’s find what art education is right for you or your loved one.

Digital classes are held over Zoom. You are responsible to provide all supplies you or your child will need.

For Children’s & Teens’ Courses

Ages 7 to 17 are eligible for study.

Pricing for art courses are dependent on parents’ income, to offer a fair & uninflated value to those experiencing financial instability. Please contact directly for rates.

The rate of progress is fully dependent on a child’s needs, including natural learning speed & if there are any other arts programs to pace alongside.

For Advanced & College Level Courses

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age & in either an Advanced Arts Prep class, or presently enrolled with a college course in a studio arts subject. Please be prepared to clearly communicate the help you may need in your course(s).

Sliding scale rates can be discussed, if you are a student paying for your own education. Parents paying for this course will need to create an open line of communication for the teacher & student, so we can coordinate.
